The newly established undergraduate research committee supervised by the Medical Student Association (MSA), has put primary goals to achieve in its plan. One essential goal is to promote the concept of undergraduate research in the Saudi community. A significant approach that we have implemented is to promote the undergraduate research through assessing, measuring and reporting our experience from different held activities in-campus and outside campus, and to highlight various ways and mechanisms of promoting undergraduate research that we have tried. In this context, recently, the team of undergraduate research committee has submitted an abstract to the 6th UAE medical students conference that to be held in Dubai from 22-23 of April, 2012.The abstract entitled as “Promoting Undergraduate Research: Students’ Perception” and authored by: Abdulhadi A. AlAmoudi, Ahmed M. Abu-Zaid, Mohammed A. Shareef, Muhammed L. Anwer, Ayman M. Awad, Abdullah M. Alshammari. Of note, also the undergraduate research committee is keen to share and benefit from different institutes in Saudi Arabia by presenting its activities and listening to others’ experiences in this growing aspect.
